Concourse Introduces unique new GateStation terminals to dramatically expand user base
CHICAGO, IL, JANUARY 10, 2005 –
Concourse Communications Group, the leading neutral-host wireless network operator in North American airports announced today it has acquired Ingate Technologies, LLC, a California-based company specializing in the installation and management of airport-based, cash-pay Internet terminals. The acquisition will enable Concourse to significantly broaden its base of potential users to include those business travelers not carrying Wi-Fi enabled laptops and leisure travelers who want to access their e-mails or enjoy instant messaging while on the road.
"We believe the availability of highly reliable Internet terminals in the airports we serve will further enhance the travel experience for passengers," said Joe Beatty, president of Concourse Communications.
"Our GateStation terminals have an attractive design and will support a number of new, value added services which we plan to introduce later this year," Beatty adds. Airports that currently have GateStation terminals installed include Minneapolis-St. Paul, Cincinnati, Columbus and Kansas City.
